Dear Kingseat Community.

Kingseat Community Council would like to thank every one for their continued support for all the activities and organisations in the village over the many years.

Further to previous correspondence confirming that your Community Council will dissolve on 28 September, 2023, I can advise that Fife Council will beholding another round of interim elections for any community council interested in reforming.

If you are looking to re-establish a Community Council during this round of elections, I would be grateful if you could submit your completed petition by 4pm on Friday 6October, 2023. If you miss this deadline, it is likely that the next round of elections will be held early in 2024.

Public Engagement - Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy (LHEES)

The public engagement exercise for Fife Council’s new Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy is now live. The strategy and accompanying delivery plan will focus on improving energy efficiency and decarbonising heat for buildings across Fife to help move towards Net Zero and other key targets.

We are seeking your feedback on:

·the vision of this strategy,

·our identified priorities,

·the scope of the high-level delivery plan, and

·any further actions we should include when developing our detailed delivery plan.

COMMUNITY COUNCIL ELECTIONS SEP 2023

Have a say in what goes on in your community, become a member of your local Community Council. Kingseat needs new members to be elected for the forthcoming term. If you don't have a Community Council you don't have a voice and can lose access to various funds and grants.

The Fife Health and Social Care Partnership Commissioning Strategy

The Fife Health and Social Care Partnership Commissioning Strategy is being refreshed. The refreshed Commissioning Strategy 2023-2026 will set out the context in which we will develop our approach to commissioning services in Fife and takes account of our vision and strategic priorities in our newly published

Strategic Plan 2023 – 2026.

We are nowseeking your views on a number of areas within the Commissioning Strategy including our draft Vision, Commissioning Principles and Commissioning Priorities. I would like to introduce myself as the new Community Engagement Co-ordinator for Dunfermline and Southwest Fife for Includem's Wellbeing in Fife service.

The well-being in fife service aims to support children aged 5-26 with their overall well-being/mental health in the form of groups. As a service we can provide input to pre-existing groups that are running ie football clubs, youth groups.

Furthermore, we can also provide input to professionals as well as those running the groups in order to support them on having conversations around mental health with the young people.

Alternatively, we can deliver groups within the local area if interest was there to provide sessions based on needs.

In addition to supporting young people, we can offer sessions to parents providing them new skills and confidence on having conversations with their child around mental health and well- being.

Please see the attached information in regard to some of the inputs we can offer to your organisation. Please note these sessions are fully funded and comes with no additional cost to yourselves.

I look forward to discussing this further with you and how we take this forward to support the young people and their families.

Winter Watch Neighbourhood Help

This is going to be a difficult time for us all.

It is vital that we look after those in our community who are most vulnerable, but at the same time remember to keep safe and to stay at home.
There are ways in which we can all work together to ensure we offer what support we can.
Keep in contact with your neighbours – telephone, text, email.
Offer help where it is possible remembering the stay safe rules.
Many of you may have kept the WinterWatch numbers and you can still use these to communicate a difficulty and where possible the members of the Community Council will try to assist –
